Piezo Stage, 40µm travel range with 0.8nm resolution

The PU 40 model is a 1-axis translation stage that can generate single axis motion of 40 µm and 80 pm resolution in open loop.

The attached data sheet states the following features and technical data: PU 40 is designed with a single metallic part which includes the flexure system giving an excellent mechanical stability. Its FEA modeled flexures guarantees zero friction and high robustness. It can support loads of up to 240 N in the high load. This model is easily adaptable because they can be mounted both horizontally and vertically. The rugged design makes the PU series well suited for all kinds of industrial applications where reliable sub nanometer accuracy is needed. PU 40 stages can be equipped with an integrated measurement system which may be specially prepared for vacuum and/or cryogenic applications. The piezo stage can be manufactured either of nonmagnetic stainless steel, anodized aluminum, or titanium.
